Privacy Policy

Who runs Claymous

Claymous is operated by Oliver Stolpmann in Drammen, Norway. Oliver is responsible for the personal information used to run the game. For privacy questions or requests, email supportowlchemy@gmail.com.

Information used by the game

Guest accounts have an account identifier and a player name. They do not require an email address. Your browser stores the session needed to access your account.

If you use Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, email address and basic profile information, which may include your name and profile image. This lets you sign in and access your player on other devices. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Drive or your contacts.

We store sculptures you save online, preview images, daily attempts and submissions, ratings, reports, multiplayer participation, guesses and scores. Device saves and drafts are stored in your browser. If you contact support, we use your message and contact details to respond.

Before play, the game asks your age. It remembers only whether you meet the minimum age on this browser, not your exact age. Hosting and authentication providers also process technical information needed to deliver and protect their services, such as connection details and operational logs. Google Fonts receives a network request when your browser loads the game’s fonts.

How and why we use information

We use account and gameplay information to provide the features you request: signing in, saving work, daily challenges and multiplayer. Where applicable, our legal basis is providing the service under our terms. We use support, security and moderation information for our legitimate interests in answering requests, preventing abuse and maintaining the game, taking account of players’ rights. We may also process information where required by law. If we ask for consent for an additional purpose, you can withdraw that consent.

What other players can see

Your cloud shelf is private to your account. Daily submissions and player names can appear in the community gallery. People in your multiplayer room can see player names, live sculptures, guesses and scores. Other players may capture content they can view. Do not put private information in names, sculptures or chat.

Service providers and international processing

Supabase provides authentication, database, storage and multiplayer services. Google provides optional sign-in and the fonts. OpenAI Sites hosts the website. Information is shared with these providers as needed for those functions. We may also disclose information when legally required or where necessary and lawful to address abuse or protect rights.

These providers operate internationally, so some processing may take place outside Norway and the EEA. A database’s region does not determine where all authentication, hosting and support processing occurs. You can contact us for information about relevant transfer arrangements. Providers describe their practices and applicable safeguards in their own notices: Supabase, Google and OpenAI.

Browser storage

The game uses browser storage for your session, age-eligibility decision, preferences, device sculptures and drafts. Clearing it can remove device saves and access to an unlinked guest account. Linking your guest player to Google keeps that player’s identity; signing into a different existing account does not automatically merge the two players.

Retention and deletion

We retain your profile and cloud sculptures while you keep your account, subject to service availability and moderation. Gameplay records, including submissions, ratings and multiplayer contributions, currently remain associated with your account until deletion; a multiplayer room becoming unavailable does not itself erase its records.

To delete a signed-in guest or Google-linked account, open My player → Delete account. This removes your profile, cloud sculptures, daily submissions, ratings and multiplayer contributions from the game’s active systems. Rooms you host close. Device saves remain in your browser. If deletion is interrupted, the game explains that some files may already be removed and lets you retry.

Signing out or removing the Google connection does not delete your Claymous account. If you cannot access your account, contact us; we may need to verify ownership. Provider logs and backups are separate from active game records and may remain under the providers’ retention arrangements. Account deletion does not promise immediate erasure of every backup or technical log.

Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, restrictions on processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact supportowlchemy@gmail.com to make a request. You may complain to Datatilsynet, Norway’s data protection authority, or your local supervisory authority.

Age eligibility

Claymous is for teenagers and adults aged 13 and older. It is not intended for children under 13. Players who indicate they are under 13 are blocked from playing and can access deletion of an existing signed-in account. The age check is self-declared. If you believe an underage player has an account, please contact us so we can investigate and arrange appropriate deletion. Additional requirements for minors may apply where you live.

We will update the date on this page when our practices change and provide additional notice where required.
